Ethiopia Adoptions

New Beginnings cooperates with Children’s Home Society and Family Services for the Ethiopian Program. CHSFS is sponsoring a comprehensive program providing services for the child and birth mother in Ethiopia. It will take up to four months to complete the home study and prepare the Dossier. From submitting a complete dossier, it will take up to nine months for a referral. There is no gender preference for first time parents; however, the time for a referral can be shorter if there is a preference for a boy or no gender preference. Once you have accepted the referral it is approximately 10 weeks before placement. The program is open to married applicants. Children available are over 2 years old.

Families can travel to adopt their child or arrange for an escort. If you travel, you can stay at the CHSFS Guest House where meals are provided. For more information on Children’s Home Society and Family Services visit their website at www.childrenshomeadopt.org.
