Thank you for your interest in the waiting child adoption program that New Beginnings offered in partnership with Embracing Children Adoption Services (ECAS). China has a long-standing and stable adoption program. Due to its predictability and easy travel, this is a wonderful program for families looking to adopt a waiting child.
Both NB and ECAS are fully Hague Accredited. NB has been working and licensed in China since 1993 and has an experienced and professional support staff in China. New Beginnings in-country coordinator is well respected, which allows for great service for the families adopting through this program.
ECAS and NB will advocate for the waiting children presented by the CCCWA, making sure they are seen and heard. Once the right family is identified, your process will start with a dedicated child advocate and worker until you have received pre-approval to adopt your child. NB’s staff will help you prepare your dossier and secure a referral. NB will help secure immigration of the child and guide you during your trip to China.
NB provides grants through its Beyond the Placement Program. Funds from this program help families meet the financial challenges of adopting a waiting child. The grant is available to all families adopting a Special Focus child from our waiting list. For families adopting a child with Down Syndrome, the grant is significantly larger.
You can view the waiting children on our individual list; however, In order to see the children’s files, please fill out the Waiting Child pre-application and send it back to New Beginnings or Emily at ECAS.
We understand that pursuing international adoption is a life changing decision for any family. New Beginnings and ECAS will promise you full transparency throughout the process. We guide you in the decision, but never pressure you.
If you have any questions, you can send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, or to email@example.com, or you can call New Beginnings at (516) 747-2204 or Emily at (253) 365-4331. You can download our Chinese Welcome Packet, or submit a pre-application to better assure the program being considered.
