My name is Ellie Logan, and I am a student at Wake Forest. I am currently completing my honors thesis in Anthropology, and I am focusing on family narratives and kinship surrounding Chinese transnational adoption. My sister is a Chinese adoptee. In growing up, her story became our story and how we identified our family. I would like to speak with other families about their family’s narrative.

If you or someone you know is a young woman adopted from China at birth, and you are currently between the ages of 16 — 25, I would be interested in talking to you and your family for my research. The study would entail a family interview of about an hour as well as 15-minute interviews with individual family members. All personally identifying information will be kept confidential. If you are interested, but not all family members can or want to participate, you are still eligible. Please reach out if you would like to join or to find out more. My number is 914-708-9045, and my email is [email protected].
