Since I can remember I had always hoped to find a way to connect with my birth parents. For me, being able to tell my birth parents I am alive, happy, healthy and loved is most important. I spent nearly thirty years wondering if and when I could actually meet them. About two years ago, I finally found the courage to begin the journey of searching for my birth family.
With the generous help of New Beginnings and Eastern Social Welfare Society, I have been in contact with both my birth father and mother for about two years through letter writing. I was accepted into the Home-to-Home program through ESWS and was able to meet both sides of my family in November 2014 in Korea.
Along with 5 other adoptees from the U.S. and Australia and with my husband, we all experienced moments that will forever change our lives….
