A team from New Beginnings has just returned from a meaningful visit to the Pattaya Orphanage in Thailand. During this trip, we met with Father Michael and the orphanage staff, focusing on ways to streamline the adoption process and ensure a timely, compassionate experience for adoptive families. We also received updates on the children currently awaiting a family. Most available children are 3-5 years old. There are some sibling groups and older children who are also in need of loving families.
An Invitation for Families Affected by China’s Program Closure
In September, the People’s Republic of China decided to close its international adoption program. This has left countless families heartbroken as they face uncertainty in their adoption journey. We extend an invitation to families affected by this closure to consider New Beginnings’ Thailand program as a possible path forward. While the process in Thailand typically takes two years, families with an already completed home study and I-800A approval may reduce their waiting times dramatically.
Now Accepting Applications: Join Our Thailand Program
To meet the needs of children in Thailand, we are actively recruiting three to five families open to preschool and older-age adoptions (up to age 6 at placement). Pattaya Orphanage has recently made changes to age requirements (now open to married parents up to age 48) and the number of children in the home (up to one child). Families for this program should have documented infertility. For families looking to start or continue their adoption journey, New Beginnings offers a supportive, experienced team dedicated to guiding you every step of the way.
