Many of the orphaned children currently available for adoption are older or have special needs. These children desperately need the love and care only a family can provide. With your donations we can provide grants to families so the children can get the medical care, support and love they deserve. In the orphanage, once a child reaches sixteen, she must move out. This is a time of great vulnerability, especially for children with special needs. By supporting Beyond the Placement, our children will be celebrating their sixteenth birthdays with their families.

Allies in Adoption, New Beginnings’ adoption support committee, is hosting our Annual Fundraising Picnic & Auction on September 21, 2014. Please consider supporting the Picnic. Proceeds from the event will fund our Beyond Placement Program to provide Grants to Families adopting a Waiting Child.

Last year, over 200 people attended our event. It was a huge success. In fact, Jie Jie has returned home from China with a grant from the Beyond the Placement Program. Your support of the picnic will help us reach our goal of bringing home eight more waiting children this coming year.

Here’s how you can help:

• Sponsor the Picnic with a tax deductible donation. All sponsors will be prominently listed the day of the event and on our website.
• Donate merchandise or gift certificate for our Raffle.
• Volunteer to organize the picnic.
