Adoption Process and Fees

The adoption process is broadly the same for all international adoptions. It begins with an

  1. Application; then
  2. Home Study; next the
  3. Assignment and Acceptance; then
  4. Bringing your child home; lastly
  5. Post-adoption services.

Fee Schedules are available for our programs and services. From many adoptions, Financial Assistance is available. For families adopting a waiting child from an NB program, a Beyond the Placements Grant is available.

Authorizations and Licenses

NB is Hague Accredited and licensed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. NB can provide home study and adoption services for residents of these states. Families that live in another state, we can provide adoption services, and we will work with a local agency for home study services. For families receiving adoption services from another agency and need a home study, we can provide the service in the states we are licensed.

Relative Adoptions

Primary provider services to many families adopting Orphaned Relatives from different countries. We can not provide services everywhere, but to explore if NB can help, submit a pre-application.

At least one adoption applicant must be a U.S. Citizen. For families living abroad, we do make considerations when adopting from the Korean Program.

Our office hours are Monday – Thursday from 9:00 to 4:00; Friday 9:00 to 2:00. Walk-in are welcome at our Main Office at 87 Mineola Boulevard, Mineola, NY 11501.
